Super bright sidelights

I saw a black Supra last night with really pin sharp bright sidelights, reg like "666 VAL" or summat. I tried to speak to the driver but my wife stopped me saying I was stupid and "gay" for trying to talk to another supra owner.

 

Marital issues aside, anyone know what bulbs these would have been? 501 are the standard pale yellow things.

I use LED's in mine - they are about 10 times better than basic bulbs. Haven't checked what is available on the market recently but they were super hi brights with wide angle dispersion in a 8-9 LED configuration (I think - would have to go look and am too lazy to poke them out of the unit ).... I think a fair few places must sell them these days (I think I got mine from ultraleds.co.uk a few years back and they are still going strong).

I have these in my Soarer - 9 LEDs, nice crisp white (not chavvy blue lol!)

if no joy there, try ebay..

i've got double side lights (one in headlight cluster and one in facelift indicators) got 9 led cluster in main and 12 led cluster in the indicator..

so if you find either on ebay both 9 and 12 cluster fit..
