jusie
Hi guys and gals just wondered if any one knew what it means when the orange traction control light flashes. had the scary experience of driving it to work in the snow this morning . Going out of our estate which is on a hill ( Karl actually got it out for me cos it was spinning like i dont know what ) but the traction control was on ( orange light off ) but when i came to drive it i could neither turn it on nor off it just started flashing. Fifty
Light flashes when wheels have spun Will stay on constant when in snow mode ie will not let you drive above low speed. To cancel turn off and on again. Thats the way minbe works anyway - GZ Take it easy
michael
Flashing means "Hi I'm your traction control, I'm doing what they designed me to do now.... not a great deal.... annoying aren't I" - or something like that It just means it's cutting in. Phoenix_TT
Hey Fiftyplus1 et al I have a 93.5 GZ and wasn't aware that it had a snow mode, I thought that was available on later models ? I was reading the UK manual and I'm sure that it stated that the light comes on, but will not stay on when Traction Control kicks in ? As with Fiftyplus1, on my GZ the trac light comes on and stays on, until I switch it off and back on again. Can anybody clarify ? Geoff
Fifty
Hiya Mine flashes when initial loss of traction but then if you give it some power it locks on and will only allow you to drive at low speed ie snow mode - definitely. Car was manuf. March 1994. Do a search for snow mode theres a lot about it here.
