quick question regarding tune up!!!

i got a 93 auto TT..

i have a hks ssqv

hks fcd

bleed valve

2.5 inch exhaust system with seciond cat removed...

im running 16psi but at full throttle i get slight hesitation...

is it possible to get this resolved on a rolling road or will i need electric gizmos and piggy back ecus???

the reason i ask is that i once took my mr2 to get rolling road tuned and was told they cant tune it as the ecu controls all the fuelling...

therefore they said they could only do a power reading..

is this the case?

Yup, sounds like plugs! If they are stock ones its defo the case. If they are cooler plugs it may just be time for them to be replaced.

I fitted some Denso IK24's to mine, did the job nicely. Other recommend NGK PFR7's I think, but if you do a search theres plenty of spark plugs threads around :) Should get you sorted :)

your standard fuel pump may also be well past its sell by date and cant supply enough fuel at higher boost - get a walbro pump too :)

Thats probably overkill, I'd doubt the stock pump is caput, mine on my 1993 was fine running at BPU. Always a good safety mod to do though!

If you go for the denso they are iridium and last much longer - supposedly up to 40k miles where you'll have to change the NGK's every 10 or so IIRC.

Think I paid 60 quid for the Denso's (all 6).

the ngk's need changing every 3>4k.
