Have a quick search, R3dgecko rob did a guide.

Buy the workshop manuals and get your tools out, a lot of jobs will suprise you as to their ease. Be sure to oinvest in proper safety gear though - trolley jack axle stands etc.

If nothing is seized its a doddle, i did my front pads in 45 mins last week, you should use get copper grease, something to push the calipers back. If things are stuck however like my rear pins where when i did them it can take somewhat longer, its well worth doing yourself, you wont just throw your shims away like some mechanics do. Goodluck

If there was ever I job a wouldn't want to make an @rse of, it would be the brakes.

i agree, thought i would ask and if its said to be undo-able for someone who hasn't done them before i wont try. :)

I did my fronts recently and it was a doddle. There are a few do`s and don`ts though. Do use axle stands as well as a trolley jack, don`t use anything hard or sharp to push the pistons back, as you could slip and damage the dust seals (wood or plastic is ideal), do check that after pushing the pistons back your fluid reservoir hasn`t been sick on your paintwork, do start the engine and pump the brake pedal until you get good resistance and lastly don`t expect your braking to be 100% instantly, drive carefully until the pads have had a chance to bed in to the contours of the discs;)

i build and modify nitro engned models (car, helicopter) so im good at solving probs and making things work, once i know the principle of doing them i will be fine. :)

Should be well within your capabilities then, you'll wonder why you didnt do them before. Good pointers above by Suprasurrey.
