Hi All,

My divers side windows has decided that it no longer like to me part of the mechanism, and prefers to do it’s own thing, and stay down all the time. Mr Toyota have said it the window regulator, and wants to charge me £200 for a new one. I thought that sounded a bit steep. Has anyone had to have one changed? And what was the cost.

Answers on a postcard please :D

Cheers

Nic

Mine went tits up about 12 months ago and I couldn't control the window at all. When I had taken the door card off, it turned out that the cable in the motor had frayed and had tangled stopping it working. I took it all apart, popped up Halfords, and fixed it with some small nuts crushed to some bicycle brake cable. It's been working fine since then with no problems. Took me about 4 hours and cost me all of £5.
