Guest oobumblebeeoo
I know you guys would probably be a bit biast being a SUPRA club site, but I am weighing up the differences between the skyline and the supra at the moment; and will probably want to buy one of which is the best in the near future... I would like to 'do' one of these cars up to a large BHP if possible, but knowing people 'G' up the car they have, it's difficult to get an exact answer... I want to know which is the better car out of the two if possible, I know there are many factors in considering such a complex answer (as there are different models, gear boxes, engine sizes ECT ECT) but could you help guys? tooquicktostop
I have modded both the RB26 and the Supra, the Supra engine can take a lot more power with stock internals so factor an engine build for the RB26 if you go down the Skyline route with big power I managed 735 BHP at 1.8 bar on a T04Z single with a JUN stroker kit to 2.7 with the RB26, this build was VERY expensive I am fitting a T67 to the Supra now and would expect 600 BHP from 1.4 bar, the Supra has the advantage of CC's and is cheaper to mod (slightly!) I would say the Skyline is a better car for putting the power down, the Supra is nicer to look at, and the build quality is far greater on the Supra I drive Supras now so that tells you something Both great cars
Jay_vr6
Lol, and surely putting up what cash you have and what you will spend long term may help in getting a proper answer

R Black
Both great cars, for big power upgrades, from what ive read the skyline shades it, but for moderate power upgrades Supra, lookswise the Supra shades it also day to day usage & as for the interiors the skylines are awful IMO

Ant Ant mate, Why don't you buy a tip-top condition 6-speed Supra for 10K then add 25K's worth of extras and then sell it to me next year for 12K (possibly less at the current rate of depreciation). This plan will ensure that I save my money and you don't:cool: I like Red Supras if you should decide to take me up on this offer:)
KimberleyAnn
I had a skyline and a supra got the supra first, then had them both running at the same time. Sold the skyline......still have the supra.
Tricky-Ricky
Simple answer is drive them both and see which you like, both are great, Skyline if you enjoy lots of grip in the twisties, Supra if you like a relaxed but quick GT car, both can be modded to big power but only pick the Skyline if you have deep pockets, for all the reasons already mentioned.
