R33 GTS-T v Scooby WRX

I have narrowed my (long) search down to the above models.

both 93 models and both running around 300BHP.

I've had a scooby before and LOVED it, but never owned a skyline. Any thoughts on either/both?

The skyline is about £500 more expensive - both done around 60k miles. Both black, very nice looking blah blah blah!!

(the skyline does need a new electric window motor and fuel gauge isn't working which puts me off a tad)

....gone off the N/a Supra idea as just think i'd miss the power too much after my BP TT ;)

The GTS is like the NA of the Skyline world, only get a GTR if you go Skyline, I have had a big power R32 and they are great cars, I have also had a WRX STI and they are also very good but the GTR is in a different class IMO

oh really? im not too clued up in skyline world!!

so the R33 GTS-T is a slower version of the R33 GTR? But the GTS-T that i'm looking at still has over 300BHP!!

VERY different cars

The GTR is a twin turbo with the RB26 engine and a 4 wheel drive the GTS is single turbo, rear wheel drive and the RB20 engine, worth a look on the GTR owners for all the details as there are many other differences as well, including insurance ! :D

they still have a lot of power but they lack all the tools of the GTR,

Slower ofc but its still a fast baby.

Subaru's on the other hand are totally poo just my opinion:p

Subaru's lack power even for turbo cars. N/A's can beat them unless its a special edition.

Ha - i dont know about that mate - my old one was running about 320BHP and was like a go-kart on steriods.

they are rapid and personally i couldn't imagine an N/a keeping up too well..... could be wrong though.

Well i raced a Subaru today and it was level pegging until about 85 then i pulled away from him.

A few of my mates have Subaru's older ones like M P reg's and 85+ my car pulls away

wow - good effort.

i think though i'd use it more for nippyness and sub 99 MPH due to the fact i have 2 small kiddies and also need my licence for my job!!!!

Nice looking but not for me mate, would feel slow after no time at all, and no MOT, why I wonder

yeah - @230bhp it prob would.

that what i like about the scoobies is they seem so light that they feel bl00dy fast especially low end up to 70 ish...

Go for the skyline, you'll regret it though, eventually.

What about a Nissan S14a? Just as tuneable and practical (ish). Mines is putting out 300bhp. For your budget you will get a good one and a lot younger than a 1993, will be able to get a 1999/2000.

2 reasons why I never went for a scooby is common as muck, and the wife said "no" ina ver convincing way. lol
