...and that same little Beetle crops up in many shots. They filmed the stunts from multiple angles and edited it so that one stunt could happen two or three times during the chase, hence the mulitple hubcaps. Plus, I'm pretty sure the Mustang didn't have hubcaps, only the only car did.
