Low idle problem

Over the last week I've noticed that when i come to a stop the idle is dropping as low as 400rpm and sometimes stalling. When I first start the car from cold it idles at 2000rpm initially and settles to 1000-1100rpm. It only starts to idle at 400 after I've driven her for about ten minutes, but if I turn it off and start again the idle returns to normal so I'm assuming its not due to the engine being hot. Also noticed tonight that when idling low, if I rev the car the lights brighten. Not too sure if its always done this, but i only noticed tonight. Any ideas?:search:

sounds like what mine was doing for the past few weeks, have you checked your error codes, mine turned out to be the throttle position sensor.?

Possible that your idle control valve needs a clean. Have a search for it on here:) Also as mentioned error codes.

Just a tip though, when it drops if you pop your A/C on for a minute that will lift the revs to normal. This happens to me from time to time and this seems to work as a quick fix:)

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't checked the error codes yet because I've had an error warning since I fitted my de-limiter so wouldn't know if there was a new one. I'll check them tomorrow afternoon and go from there.
