web domains and Hosting

Im currently looking to try a new web host. I currently use 123-reg to host my and and my clients websites. Im going to experiment with my website first.

I have been looking at the US based Awardspace. I They are about half the price of 123-reg for a much better package. Unfortunately they do not register/allow the transfer of a *.co.uk name, so I have renewed my domain name with 123-reg for another 2 years but the hosting has only 3 days left.

My question is; can I keep my domain registered with 123-reg and use the US based Award space for my hosting? is there anything special I need to do?

Cheers

The DNS entries for your www record will need updating, do you have email hosted as well?

You can now get your own virtual server for very little a month which you could then host all your customers on for a flat monthly fee, you would then have complete control over the server.

I have added my domain to the Award space account and it states its doing a DNS update automatically........

I am pretty sure the current provider who I guess maintains your DNS will have to update the record, it would be a major issue if any company could update DNS records hosted by another company.
