rob wild
Very long story short I had a 'cheapo' converter on the car and it broke i.e. dead speedo. Tried to buy a good TRL one but they had stop producing them so simply but a face on the clock just to read up to 110MPH. Anyway I've got hold of another couple of converters that were different to the original one that i want to try (I'm in the process of redoing my clocks/dash board). But my question is does the speedo head (screw) that connects to the output of the speedo converter go anywhere else? In other words the original speed signal coming from the gearbox to the PAS, ODO cruise control should still be receiving the correct KPH signal? and work normally as its only the speedo that receives the altered 5/8's signal? SteveR
Have a look at this schematic, it might help answer your question: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/dsc_speedo_mph.jpg and this description of what you're fiddling with: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/oddetail.htm
