Justin
What are the best wires behind the dash to tap into for all the necessary connections to a Defi Link Meter boost gauge and the Controller II please folks. I hate this sort of work. Not difficult technically but time consuming and means you have to dislocate 3 vertibrae and one shoulder to get access to all the tricky wires tucked away. Justin
OK I'll re-phrase the question. Can you fill in the blanks below of where I should best 'T' the wires into behind the dash. Clock? Fag lighter? Side lights or whatever??? Constant live 12V connected directly to + Pos terminal on battery (correct?) Switched live 12V connected to .............? Illumination live 12V connected to .............? Ground connected direct to - Neg terminal on battery (correct?) Cheers in adavance Justin
The Hornet
Surely for those connections you could just simply use the ones already in place behind the head unit as the gauges dont draw much current. Simple job with a multimeter. Can't remember the colours of wires though, if you have a multimeter just set to 20V DC and probe them, switching the ignition and lights on /off to find there wires etc etc. The ground wire can be any connected to the chassis / body of the car. Paul
Just seen this, I wired mine to the clock connections, all what you need are there. Can't remember the colours though? Just take off the multiplug and stick a meter on the pins. I'll try to find out the colours in the meantime. Paul

Justin
Paul, you beauty. Thanks for taking the time to dig that out for me. Perfect just what I was after. I'll attack the clock this weekend. Cheers a million Justin
Paul
Paul, you beauty If it's OK with you I'll just accept the thanks in a bloke type of way. LOL Hope it goes OK. BTW my controller is mounted on the underside of the armrest lid, hidden until you open it then easy to view/operate. Takes a while longer to wire as you need to extend the wires but it does look good. Paul
Justin
My NOS controller is tucked in there so I'll need to find somewhere else.
