i tried for hours, couldnt get to it at all. tried from the top, from underneath, no joy. how the hell do u get to this bleed nut?

i ended up just bleeding from the bottom of the rad, that has emptied about 7/8 ltrs, which means there is still a couple of ltrs still in the engine.

Hi, everyone, I'm trying to find the Bleed Screw which is supposed to be on the back of the block somewhere, however I just can't see it anywhere. I have looked at the diagrams etc also removed the air intake, turbo heatsheild etc but still can't see the damn thing. I need to completely flush the block and radiator and top up with Toyota Red Coolant.

What I am going to do once I find the Bleed valve (with your help :D ) is open and let everything drain and stick the garden hose into one of the coolant pipes and let it circulate right through everything. Then completely drain it and top up with new coolant and bleed any air that is in the system. Is this correct?, as this is the way I do it on my other cars.

Could anyone help please :(

Sorry to sound stupid but is there anything that can help me see what the thermostat looks like?. I know where Turbo 1 is and thats about it.

Thanks for your previous reply mate as you said the thread was opened in 2002, I done a bit of research through the search before I actually asked rather than being spoonfed :D .

Thanks

Right, so is it near the windscreen side or the front side (Front bumper), also what does it look like and is it better to get it from the top or lie underneath the car and try it.

Thanks in advance
