Lukeyboy2k Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 I intend on fitting a boost controller and an independent boost gauge in the near future. I understand each would need a feed from a vac tube. I plan to fit a T-piece in the engine bay and run the vac tube through the firewall to behind the dash. Would it be OK to then fit another T-piece to this single vac tube behind the dash and run both the controller and gauge from this? Or would it be better to split whilst still in the engine bay and run two vac tubes into the dash? Are the readings likely to vary at all with either method? Chris and Alana Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 I have a EBC and a machanical boost gauge and I used a T peice just behind the dash and made the EBC connection as short as possible, In theory this will just add another foot or so to the vacuum line but I dont think it makes much difference to be honest. I couldnt comment on how accurate the two are because the EBC reads in bar (well that kg/something or other which is almost exactly the same as bar) and my boost gauge reads in PSI.
