Guest Garfy
Got fed up with the lights on the MX5 being shockingly bad, so I've upgraded them to Raybrig Items, and wow what a difference, I can now see where I'm going, which is good because I'm taking it to perfomance 5 tomorrow to see if I can extract some more power from its turbo, wahooooooo!!!!! Class One
I'm debating at the moment whether to go for Raybrigs or Hids. I'd be interested to know your experience with P5 as I'm looking to go for their suspension upgrade package soon.

What you got mate? with regards to HID's depends on price I guess, I was lucky enough to pick these up on ebay for only £57, and also it depends if your car is an import, (sorry if you already know this) if its an import it will have sealed beam units, so you will have to change them anyway. I'm going to P5 today, I'll be able to test drive a car with their puredrive kit on it, sounds great, only bummer is that Phil says I will probably be able to put the 17" OZ supperleggera's back on, which I sold!!!!!! DOH!!!!!!! lives and learns dont ya!!, lol and then I think and new ecu will be called for to get more power out of the bbr, then dare i say it, I might even get rid of the soop, as a company car is looming in a couple of months. I did have them on my old mx5 they were the ones that mx5parts sold a few years back, made by brainstorm products, and to be honest they were rubbish, they used to leak, go rusty, and the bulbs blew all the time, and it was a mission to change them, however the new version they do is supposed to be much better, but I want to keep this car much more traditional than my old one, more of a sleeper, and also make it as lite as possible, so no kits for MUX. I've a 1.8 Dakar (UK car limited edition no 121/400). I was going to go down the FI route, but looking at costs I'd rather concentrate on improving ride and handling. Well I met Phil at P5 today, what a nice guy, I spent about 2.5 hours with him, he test drove my car, said its a good car and is a strong bbr, so thats good, just needs a few little problems sorting and it will be a great car, mainly the suspension, I went out in his car which is fitted with the puredrive kit, and I'm very impressed, 100 times better than what I have fitted to mine, I've put my name down for the next available set.
