CJ
I'm really looking forward to this one. It starts with Wales v Italy at 15.00 GMT and despite Wales' impressive start, I think the Italians could prove to be quite dangerous. The performances in their first two narrow defeats have shown they are no mugs and will have to be respected. In saying that, home advantage and restored confidence should see Wales win. At 17.00 GMT it is Ireland v Scotland. The Scots will be hoping for a better performance than in the two previous games but I cannot see them getting close to Ireland - especially with Ireland having home advantage. Finally, at 20.00 GMT we have France v England. I think this could be a great game. I know England have looked poor in their opening games but against the French they always seem to come up trumps. But, and it is a big but, France look very good so far in the tournament and have home advantage. If i was to bet on this I would call France but, as a Welshman, I would love to see them beaten as it would mean we would be the only unbeaten side left in the tournament. Anyone else going to watch it?

They haven't looked good so far. Very disappointing against us.
jamesmark
They haven't looked good so far. Very disappointing against us. Even with the way Italy is playing I honestly think it will a defaet on every game. It is a shame as Frank Hadden has been our best for a long time, but the players just do not seem to be up to it. Except Paterson (best kicker in the world), Parks, Lamont brothers. I was surprised that Hadden did not start Paterson in the first game. The France V England game will be very good I think, fast paced and brutal.

jamesmark
I like Paterson as full back, not everyone agrees but he has played some good rugby at that position.
CJ
I'm surprised at the lack of English support. It seemed like everyone was a supporter when they were playing well
MrRalphMan
All I know about Rugby is cacking myself walking down Bridgend high street (if you can call it that) on a day the Welsh lost to England...

May be one day you will be able to tell us what it's like Oh dear. A little bit of banter after the Wales v England game and you have a massive sulk This thread was started to get some opinions on the weekends games. If you read my initial post it did no gloating and was IMO very unbiased. In fact, I stated that I thought the France v England game could turn out to be a great one - and it was. Thats the thing Col, and is why I like Rugby so much compared to football. There is no bad blood (as such), yeah I hate to see Scotland lose but would not consider mouthing off in a bad way etc. I would love to go to a match, where else could you sit amongst opposing fans. That was always a special part of International rugby for me too. To sit in a row of fans from both sides was great. yes there was banter and jibes but nothing nasty or malicious and afterwards the pubs would be full of the same mix. Even out here I get to sit with a good mix of fans (albeit a much smaller number) and there is never hassle. As an aside, I thought your lot played better much yesterday.
