Marco
My second turbo decided to play up again. I've checked all vacuum pipes and hoses, and nothing seems to have come off. First turbo works fine, I can go up to 0.8bar, so it can't be a intercooler pipe that came off. I was test driving the car yesterday after I had a new clutch fitted. Everything was fine and car was running very good. After a few roundabouts I lost the 2nd turbo and dumpvalve. When we were back at the garage, we had a look and saw a little hose that came of near the dumpvalve. (see red circle in pic) We re-attached it but it didn't fix the 2nd turbo problem. Strange as I lost both at the same time, so it must be related in some way, right? The car now feels like there's almost no turbo lag anymore, the first turbo seems to spool quicker and the car drives smoother as well... but when the 2nd turbo is supposed to kick in, all I get is juddering and loads of black smoke from the exhaust. Another thing: I had another look this morning, and found a hose (yellow circle in pics) that is blocked off. Is this supposed to be blocked or is it a bobge job from some garage? Well I hope this all made sense, thanks in advance for any info. -Marco

mr keef
are you sure its not an intercooler pipe?,as you might still get boost on the first tubby depending on if its a split pipe etc etc etc,can you hear a loud whistle when the 2nd spins up? Marco
No I don't hear any whistle. I've had an IC pipe blow off before, and I lost all boost, even for the 1st turbo. But I'll have a look at those pipes later as well. Thanks
jaymdee
And now with the pics... You got a boost controller or something fitted, cos that blue piping in the first pic doesn't look right to me? Set it all back to stock and start again is the best way to trouble shoot something like this
