stealth
Hi Guys, I picked up my N/A MKIV two days ago and have found a "slight" fault with it that someone may be able to help me with.......... The Speedo needle sometimes get's stuck where it feels like it (normally around the 75 -80 mark) but if I tap the top of the dash board it moves again, but then gets stuck again I look like a plum, and not to mention end up driving rather dangerously thwacking the top of my dash whilst drivining. the car has been sat still for a Very long time, could this have anything to do with it ?! any help appreciated Thanks Tony
Dazzi
Check to see if the speedo needle is pushed on tight. The rev limiter needle seems the opposite to the speedo - it needs to be pushed on very softly.
paul mac
the speedo spindle and mechanism are very delicate it may be easier to get a new cluster from a scrappy there will be plenty about, try Jezz on here
