Guest thedarcsage
I don't even know what keywords to search for this...or even where to start looking... but multiple people have told me that I'm making way less than expected even on pump gas. They said I should be in the 4xx range at least...and a comparison of what many people get at 15 psi shows this... Even though NA-T would make a little less than TT or singled gte's at this boost level, it should not be That much of a difference. Is it actually fine? Should i just up the boost and have them tune it? (specs and parts list below) so far i've tried: 1) dyno tuning with 2 separate sessions 2) re-tightened a bunch of hose clamps along the IC piping route 3) checked for anything out of the ordinary visually from the top of the engine bay only but couldn't find anything obvious 4) 12V mod for fuel pump that should be working if the car starts and runs, right? I've been told to try: 4) checking the fuel pressure 5) checking injector duty 6) checking fuel filter What do you suggest? Should i also check: 7) fuel pump itself? at cruising speeds and partial throttle, the fuel pump sounds like it's sputtering...which i've never heard before 8) when the shop changed my spark plugs, he showed me the old ones, which had a rust color covering the tip, what does this mean? he said it's not a good sign, but should i follow through with this clue?? 9) compression check? 10) headgasket check? how? i hope the shop actually installed the 2.5mm headgasket lol... 11) try another shop for tuning? 12) timing? i've finally been able to put it back to ~13 +/- 2 and it fluctuates even at idle 13) boost or vacuum leak? even though everything looks ok, should i do an actual test? 14) could any of the parts listed below or even oem be the cause or make such a huge difference? I'm at a loss and want to dyno with a decent amount of power after all this work... Thanks! Sean1933
330 TRUE rwhp is pretty good going at 15psi! I know this is way off topic but thought i would ask anyway.! How do you find the law/smog tests (not sure on the legalities in (CA) with the Supra in CA? My dad lives there so......
bromy
How restrictive is Dave's manifold? You could also do with getting rid of that cat. My na-t made 283rwhp at 5psi
