KimberleyAnn
hmmm, sounds quite interesting - i've been in media sales, both consumer and B2B for a combined 7 years now. Currently an Ad Manager for a magazine based in Crawley! will have another read thro the job spec........... What magazine?
SILKYSMOOTH
Year 1 ote = 40k yr2 = 50k yr3= 60k ...as the job spec explains, essentially we 1) put together industry forums (conferences) in various vertical markets (Government, retail banking, Media etc....) . 2) We invite the top decision makers such as CIO's Ceo's, heads of IT etc to discuss topical issues in their industry in a 5 star country house - everything is completely free for them - wine tasing, 5 course dinner, lunch, golf, accommadation etc etc + they get to meet their peers 3) We then sell contact meetings to the likes of Cisco, Siemens, Microsoft (partners) etc etc - the people who provide CRM, ERP etc solutions - as we have a captive audience who make purchasing decisions the seller has maximum exposure to potential customers - the job role is selling this concept to the partners does that make sense? That makes sense…. No go.

Jamesy
..I bet its something boring like 'industrial print machinary' or 'tractor bolts monthly' lol - not quite that bad though. Its for a B2B magazine dealing in the confectionery/grocery markets. Some of the bigger clients are Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Wrigley, Imperial Tobacco and Cadburys so its a nice varied sell. Its good sometimes, but as with all sales jobs (especially media) and can be pretty stressful and hectic too much of the time!!
