Guigsy
I thaught the soarer had the w58 box anyway. i was only reading it on wiki the other day. Or am i thinking of the supra mk3. So id imagine it would just work
garethr
Yes, it will. I think there are some manual converted Soarers in Australia which used the W58 (try Soarer Central). Probably some 1JZ converted 5-speed SC300s on the US Lexus forums, and even JZA80s in the US and Australia/NZ. The factory 1JZ-GTE manual uses the R154. dini_the_owl
as above yes it does, plenty of w58 and r154 soarers out there.
JustGav
Hmmm, isn't the R154 the stronger of the boxes though.
tDR
Hmmm, isn't the R154 the stronger of the boxes though. Yep, by a long shot.
Guigsy
rarer though i would imagine. aparently the TT 5 speed soarer is gold dust
rxv8
ok so it bolts together, but what clutch flywheel kit would have to be used???the n/a supra clutch and flywheel???
garethr
I'd have a look round Supraforums, Toymods, Soarer Central, Club NA-T, the US Lexus forums, etc., but...... I think you could use the 2JZ-GE 5-speed, bellhousing, clutch, and flywheel.
