custom indicators problem

i thought id be different and try some custom indicators, i thought, car - bike, whats the difference!!! i got a really neat set of 3cm dia, 15 led bike indicators, set one in temp and its flashing about 3 times as fast as the other side with original indicator, the new bulb reads 12v/1w and the original sup one is 12v/21w, im guessing its to do with thw wattage, any views on solution as the indicators look the muts nuts and would love to keep them!?!?!?

the car thinks there is a bulb out somewhere (due to low power needs of LED's), hence the rapid flashing, you will need a resistor to replace the original load of the bulb

i did think that, just afraid to say incase i made an ahoe of myself which i prob will with the next comment, the last thing i want to do is any harm to the cars loom, so will fittin the resistors f**k anything up and what size should i get? or ive heard of variable resistors, would they be any use and where would i get them?? cheers

Try Car Builders Solutions the do a special gizmo for when you mix LED's with ordinary bulbs fo fitting them to the rears and not the fronts as well on kit cars

They should sell them where you bought the indicators from, or most motorcycle shops.

or just stick a 5 ohm, 50w resistor across the load. Thats what I do when i do the rear LED conversions
