  1. from what i understand you should be fine if you still have one cat in! if you remove the other then j-spec are prone to overboosting but you can get away with putting in a restrictor to limit the boost until you get a boost gauge and then your boost controller. I just had mine fully decatted at last!!! :-)
  2. Excellent thanks, didnt see this in any of the hundreds of threads i read on doing this when i brought it so thought i best find out if i could just do this! cheers will take back to get it done :-)
  3. and this wont affect any of the engine management???
  4. At min I am running on one cat on a J-spec 94. I brought a downpipe off chris wilson and a restrictor ring about eight months ago now. I have been really lazy and only just got around to booking it in to get it fitted obviously after gettin a new MOT. The bloke puts it up on a ramp and calls me over. He cant fit this downpipe( the J-spec one with no sensor hole) because my cat has a sensor going to it!!!! Has anyone come across this, I thought only the UK spec cars had the sensor going to the cat!!!
  5. Excellent thanks for the help, to be honest i thought i might need bigger injectors and a pump. The Hybrids will be from Turbo Technics me thinks, they seem cool guys up there and read some good reviews of them. Most likely have a look at my side mount IC tonight lol see what shape its in. But might do it in stages like suggested and run on normal boost until everythings in place. And I am deff gonna have a full decat just soon as i get my MOT out the way lol cheers stew
  6. cheers Yeah it is a Jspec, and i thought i would need injectors but wasnt sure, and FMIC surely thats a luxury?? isnt it
  7. I just had the unfortunate event of one of my turbos dying :-(. I am looking at getting replacement hybrid turbos. But in-order to get the best out of these what other engine mods would i need( or would benefit from). At min i just have a induction kit and Blitz NUR SPEC R exhaust still with one cat in until MOT later this Month ;-) And before you ask i did do a search but couldnt find anything concrete just what people already have so if there is a string to a past posting that would be great to :-) cheers stew
  8. Excellent Thats What I wanted Cheers :-)
  9. Anyone give a few quick steps on replacing front brake pads on J-spec sup, doing them tonight, anything to look out for? And discs too if anyone knows? cheers
  10. I took it to Grahm Goode Racing, they said that the rear wheels had come out of alignment and they corrected it they said there were no rear toe in on the wheels, which is a blatant lie because it was so bad you could see it in fact it was so bad my girlfriend could see it!!! They wont pay for the tryes that it has wore down because the wearing is even accross the whole tyre and the alignment wouldnt do this!!!
  11. I need some advice, I took my J-spec Sup to Graham Goode Racing(not the best idead in the world) in Leicester for four wheel Alignament to the specs I gave them which i got off here. Problem is that now a month on the car is handling like a dog and cannot be driven in the rain safely the back is all over the place. I am pretty sure i can see a visible difference in the Rear Left wheel toe-in in regards to the right. And now my new rear Eagle F1's are slicks after a month!!! I have had someone say that maybe something wasnt tightened up and is causing the toe in, does this sound likely? And would this cause it to handle like a dog and go through my back tyres in a month. Almost positive its something they have done but wanna know what i am talking about when i take it back weds. The thing i am worried about though is they saying that i speced the settings and its the settings that have done it, and hence being my fault! Because i know they aint gonna want to reimburse my rear tyres!
  12. Yeah the clips can be tight, I changed my grubby jap lights for UK glass ones and had real trouble getting one of the bloody clips off until I found sliding a screw driver down it to unhook it helped loads :-) I did take out my factory fitted air box out to help get at the other light though that helped loads. but from what i remember I think glue holds it on could be wrong though
  13. cheers lads, I think I will have to invest blinding BM drivers sounds too good to pass up
  14. You could always try http://www.car-parts-finder.co.uk/ enter what you want and most the time they come back with a excellent price!! I have had huge success with them.
  15. Hi just wondering is the HID conversion any good I have seen some pics but doesnt look that impressive on them, I expect its something you need to see in person!
