  1. Hi guys, my Supra (UK Spec Manual) has been off the road for a few years now since I set the coilovers too low and, through the compressions at the Nurburgring, managed to wear through my left side front wheelarch liner and melt the whole wiring loom (which I believe is the engine loom?) into one big lump!! I have just been offered a loom from a Lexus GS300 3.0 VVTi Auto and the guy selling it says he thinks the loom will be the same apart from the gearbox connection. Anyone know if this is true or if I should wait to find the correct part? Thanks
  2. Finally found time to check! It's both sides! :-(
  3. I was told the other day that supra looms come in several different pieces, is that correct? I have a uk spec manual TT and a few years ago at the 'Ring, I set the coilovers too low and managed to get lots of rubbing through all the compressions, anyway, I ended up melting the inner arch and all the wiring above it so that my loom and arch are now solidified as one! I've always assumed its going to be a major job and havn't had time in my life to sort it. I've now been told the other day that I should only need a small part of the loom that runs from the fuse box through the wheel arch and into the engine bay, does anyone know if this is correct or where I might start looking for the parts?
  4. Can't see anything thats obviously come off or is missing, any other ideas of what could be causing it the problems?? Too scared to start or drive it til I know more!!!
  5. OK, thanks, will check things over before panicking too much!
  6. I recently had my turbos replaced (2 months and 1000 miles ago) and the other night I was out in the Supra, all seemed fine, I pulled out of a junction got lots of boost/power in 1st and 2nd gears, changed into 3rd and got no power, no boost and lots of white smoke! I managed to crawl the couple of miles home and get it in the garage. I got hold of the garage who had replaced the turbos and got the usual 'turbos are covered but the labour isn't' line. He also said that it might not be the turbos and to get it to him so he could have a look. He didn't give me any idea of what else it could be, any ideas?? Thanks
  7. With regards to the blue smoke, a mate of mine has said that when turbos are knackered you get white smoke rather than blue, is this normally the case? Swampy442 said it could be an oil overfill so I will check that when i get home. Are there any other reasons for blue smoke? Could it be knackered turbos or is this unlikely? Here's hoping since i've only done 3000 miles on them!!!!
  8. i'd like to 8.5s and 9.5s front and rear respectively but don't think the 8.5s look as nice as i'm told you can't get the offset to give the deep dish look. if 9.5s went on the front i was still intending to stretch 245s over them and havr 265 or 275s on te rear, would that stil mess with the handling?
  9. oil and plugs change (but they forgot the oil change part) re-fit intercooler pipework, remove NOS system, set up on rolling road. have you got any pics of the gtr's on you car?
  10. Just got my car back from reputable tuner and now have lots of blue smoke on acceleration and on overun which wasn't there before. what should i do? Are my turbos knackered? Also, has anyone fitted Rota GTR wheels to their Supra? I'd like to know if 9.5" will fit on the front as i like the deeper 'dish' you can have with certain offsets on the 9.5" version of this wheel, any advise welcome! thanks
  11. Cheers for all the help guys, I contacted Whifbitz and got a price of £3.50 each (+VAT) then told Abbey M/Sport who will get the bits off of Whifbitz on Monday!
  12. I've spoken to Abbey Motorsport again and apparently its the plugs that go from the engine wiring loom to the coil pack that are knackered and he's been told by Toyota that these only come as part of the engine loom for £1400 and that he's spoken to Fensport who agreed with Toyota!! Please tell me these connectors at £36.00/set are the same thing and where I can get them!!!! Cheers
  13. Its in with Abbey Motorsport, so I thought it'd be ok with them! Apparently they do Supras as well as 'liners now.
  14. HELP! My car has gone in as it 'coughs' when coming on full boost so won't take much more than half throttle. I was told (before it went in) that it was probably just the intercooler connections need cleaning and tightening. I'm now being told that it could be something to with the coil pack, which comes as part of the engine wiring loom which is £1400!!!!!! Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks, Bungle.
  15. Does the Superdragger keep it quiet enough for track days? Has yours had the cats removed etc.?
  16. My UK Spec TT is (way) too loud for most track days, I have a Nur Spec exhaust and no cats, standard manifold, Blitz Induction kit, I went to a track day with a limit of 99db, they told me to hold the revs at three quarters of max. revs and they took their reading. 109db! I put in the Nur Spec insert which took it down to 106db, then the track sold me a load of fibreglass matting to suff in the exhaust with the insert. Eventually it got down to 100db with them being lenient on the revs but then every straight i got to my mate in his Skyline pissed all over me!! I was well down on power. Anyone got any ideas for a quieter track friendly exhaust without compromising on power?? Please help!
  17. Sorry to hear about the motor fella, i'm in your area so i'll keep my eyes open for ya. hope you find the who nicked it too!
