sorry, perhaps this is what he has told me, basically its set up not to be damaging to the turbos... Also have the launch control feature set up, the anti lag is really for a bit of noisy fun, and to keep boost between shifts as far as i understand it...

lol yeah the most useful bit of the kit doenst work... there are some recent downpipes and an induction kit, and one of the turbos is in good condition, suppose i should just stick em on ebay with no reserve and see what happens!! thanks!

yeah i run the autronic with antilag feature, the guy that set it up for me has repeatidly assured me that it is not doing any damage to the turbos, and that the way he has it set up the ECU looks after the temperatures etc to ensure nothing too dangerous happens! Despite this, we lost one of the impellers in the 2nd turbo a few weeks back, and immidiately i thought it was the dam anti-lag, but the impeller from the turbo is not in the slightest melted, the shaft had just fractured! so he has assured me that it was just the excess boost etc that caused this.. Anyway, we decided that we should stick in a big single blower rather than repair the damaged one, so thats whats being done at the minute.... cant wait to get it back

Hey folks, I've just started converting my Jap TT to a single turbo...I've got all the parts that are no longer needed that were associated with the TT, and want to sell them as a package... The only item which is not in working order is one of the turbos, it has a ceramic impeller missing.... Anyone have any ideas what sort of money i should be asking for this lot? Thanks in advance for any advise!

thanks for the info guys, i'd heard of anti lag happening without boost - but it sounds like a contradiction in terms.... i'll keep googleing

Excuse my ignorance on this one - but is it possible to have an anti-lag setup which wouldnt put excess wear on the turbos, or which wouldnt take effect during boost? or is this not pysically possible? Basically, the noise is fun, but i dont want to bugger the blowers!!!

Can anyone who has converted an import TT to a big single turbo help me with a list of essential upgrades vs recommended upgrades? I can post a list of upgrades i've already done if that helps..

yeah, its manual... how much is a t67 likely to set me back? I have standard injectors, for 600bhp are they going to need changed?

the car is used regularly, but not as an every day car.... i dont really want to 'overtune' it to the extent everything starts falling apart, but still want to be heading towards 600hp, although i dont really know what sort of power i should expect!? I also dont have a bottomless bank account!

Ok, its time for a big turbo to replace the jap twin stockers.... We have modded the car as follows so far, i'd love to hear suggestions for a big blower? Also suggestions of what else i might need to do alongside these mods to get some serious power! Yeah Simons set up launch control which seems to hold revs to around 4k below 5mph, then lets her go.... I don't think this is what im confusing with anti-lag though. When that switch is flicked, the whole engine sounds completely different, almost...dare i say it like a sort of grinding sound as if all vents have been opened full, you can see it spit fuel and fumes out the back when its running like that and it backfires like crazy when you take your foot off power especially around the 3000rpm mark... yeah, oli and i must get to a supra meet soon! havent been to one yet! I think simon fitted the SM4 in the knowlege that we will be changing injectors and putting a big turbo in sometime... I'll post some photos soon, im away at a trade show from first thing tommorow morning until wednesday, so will get some shots up sometime after i get back!

hmm, thanks for your advise - i honestly dont know the detail on the turbos, only thing i know is they are now running in paralell - something to do with that ECU not supporting twin turbos Yeah, a strong platform is what we wanted to have, dont want to do a mod now, just to find somewhere down the line i need to replace it! hence the SM4...

lol, yeah the spoiler isnt to everyones taste! sometimes i take it off as i love the line of the supra without the bad boy type spoiler! I dont know to be honest why they picked that ECU, i basically told them i had X to spend, make it as good as you can for that money, although he ran way over budget! Ill post a lsit of the the work that was done sometime over the weekend or early part of next week if i get a chance...

its still running standard twin jap turbos at the min - hope this antilag stuff doesnt cause any problems!!! Ill have to get learning pretty fast

not sure, it was fitted by cartoys in northern ireland, i dont know where it came from before then... but i head it had to be set up before it was sent to cartoys for fitting.... would this have been done at the main dealers then?

i'll post a list of all the mods this guy did for me, see what you guys think, unfort i we havent had the car on a rolling road yet, so no idea what its putting out.... i dont think its running too sweetly though, def feels like its not getting full potential when i hoof it... ill get the invoice the dude gave me and post all the work he did... prob sometime over the weekend!
