AMG
Have just checked the pipes that go through the firewall in the engine bay to the heater matrix. One was really hot (passenger side one) and the other was "cold" (the drivers side one). Does this mean that i could do with flushing the matrix out? markymark
I would say it might just need bleeding, have you had a water change recently?
AMG
No coolant change recently, just found that the heaters dont blow hot air now the cooler weather is here.
Fifty
Try taking off your rad cap when COLD and start the car idling see if bubbles come out in the rad have the heater ON, this will bleed it hopefully. I did this and mine started working fine again(takes quite a long time) Rich
JohnA
I would flush the coolant a few times, perhaps even using a commercial product. Then refill and bleed with de-ionised water/coolant mix (or the ready-made Toyota stuff) You really don't want to meddle with the heating matrix, it's a pig of a job to change if it goes bad. Ian W
ever since having a coolant change my a/c hasn't worked as cold as it used to (not a problem at the moment but would like to get it sorted). any ideas?
Bob
As your climate control unit isn't functioninf properly, it's more likely to be that imho.
