CardiffSupra
Car passed its MOT yesterday, Im over the moon with it now as the knocking has been sorted and the new Shocks have been fitted. The only thing on my mind now is the brakes(i think), Iv been getting a slight griding noise that gets louder at high speeds. At 1st i thourght it was the brakes as sometimes it was louder then other times, it also feels like its slowing the car down a bit, Its there all the time but it could also be a wheel bearing. I just got the car home from work and started cleaning it when i put water on the brakes a lot of steam come off all 4, Iv never noticed it ever before, It also smelt real bad. Is it normal for steam to come off them just from day to day driving? Iv also noticed the brake fluid was up passed MAX to the top, would that effect anything? Thank you in advance, Gareth
merckx
If you wash the car immediately after driving it you will get a little steam coming off , especially so if you've been braking from higher speeds. The MOT bloke should've spotted a problem with the brakes .
