dash rubber chemical

whats the best stuff to remove the crap from the dash as im going to repaint it dont know what colour yet cars white {dont say white cause it looks chavy}

ive tried white spirit and a scouring sponge thing and tbh it seems a PITA! ive heard bleach is good.........maybe someone that has done it will come along with a good answer.

I did it this way too. Hard bit is the section that sits over the dials.

i recon using some form of acid would be the way to go

im doing mine in 2 weeks time ,so ill be experimenting but i def recon Acid, maybe some mild type,like concentrated citric say,. ill try it.hopefully ill be able to get all the layer of rubber to just peel of in 1 piece.

acid will not affect plastic.,rubber yes
