black cat
went to halfords, drove quite hard. when i fired it up again about 10mins of it been stud inthe car park, there seemed to be white smoke out of the tail pipe???? i saw it in the rear view mirror so there was enough for me to worry about it, after about a minute it stopped, it was only when i blipped the throttle... any idea what this could be??? it doesnt smoke or steam when its running, only get a small puff of bluey smoke on start up after its been stud for a week or so. but i have full decat so iam not worryed too much about that. the white smoke does worry me and have never seen it before. could it be oil smoke ?? supraman.chris
Oil smoke son! Gave me a heart attack also! Supras aren't designed for tootling about, need to let rip from time to time and slam on those anchors when nobody is watching to keep your braking surfaces optimised. supraman.chris
when it happened to me, i had been giving it some and then tootled around a retail park for a cruise/meet. Check your oil m8, could just be burning a little.

Ian W
was under the impression turbo seals smoke all the time if they're goosed! only if they're completely fecked iirc. if they're starting to go it's only on initial start-up. ** waits to be proved wrong **
supraman.chris
No, thats fine, yours point in the same direction as mine. Lost the paperwork u c and got into a debate regarding the different directions of the grooves depend on the manufacturers. Smoking only lasted a few seconds btw. Ulrik
I get this also sometimes.... White smoke, upon idle after driven somewhat or just starting the car, after a wile it comes....last for about 5 sec or so... Some of my friends says its common on the Supra. Iv also heard it might have to do with the Turbo Seals... Not sure yet, So far my stock Twin Turbos work just fine.. Its just a little smoke...but still worried what it could be. Anyone elles had this ?
