Very Heavy Steering

Had a very weird problem with the steering in the car yesterday. I started the car and headed down this twisty road :D i drive all the time. But this time i noticed the steering was extremly heavy:search: like i had lost power steering altogether. I was hanging off the wheel  trying to steer. So, a few min later my ol buddy of a Code 42 speed sensor problem kicked in, the usual lights came on. I've had this sensor problem since i got the car But it never effected the steering!!! When this kicked in after getting up to 100 km for a few seconds, the steering returned to normal. My Active spoiler also does not function as it should, ie it bloody does what it whats, whenever it whats:search: So, I'm looking for some info on finding out where i hav this fault???? The car is De-limited for speed but thats it! I've looked for a dodgy device behind the speedo but there's nothing out of place. It may be de-limited in the ECU??? I don't know really:rolleyes: is there any test i can do on the speed sensor wiring so i could narrow the fault down and find it??? Thanks in advance:)
