si wants supra
Hi their my supra has the IK22 spark plugs think Ive got that right, anyway is it worth taking them out and cleaning them up, and if so does anyone know the torque settings for them to go back in, read on the spark plug FAQ you should leave the gap alone, keeping in mind my Sup' is a Jpec TT 6 spd. cheers Si
supRo
IK 22 should be fine - any misiring then go to IK 24. Yup, don't adjust the electrode. If the car is running ok then no need to take them out. How are your camcover gaskets like? If it's slightly weepy you may get slight oil contamination so you may want to clean them if that is the case. Not sure about torque. 'a bit of a turn' till they are seated firm is ok! Have you taken the spark plugs out before? can be a little fiddly - becareful of the coil pack clips as they tend to be fragile
si wants supra
No this is my first time, no spluttering the car is running fine just wanted to make sure they werent burning out though, had a bad experience with a plug in my clio years back, though they were normal crappy plugs in that and I was thrashing the poor little thing. Cheers for the help matey.
