GazzaGSi
Got a call from my mate this morning saying he had left his lights switched on on his car and the battery was dead. I offered to jump him using my car. Leads were on fine and his fired up straight away but mine cut out. Now it runs like a bag of sh*t missfiring, have I dont something drastic? Ive not run it since i helped him out, just left it on his drive as I dont want to do anymore damage just in case. Also I believe the coolant light was on once fired up yet this has never come on before. Please help Im v.worried Gaz
geoffvalenti
Reset the ECU, remove the 2 EFI fuses from the fuse box under the bonnet, leave them out for about a minute, then stick them back in again. You've probably got a power spike HTH

tbourner
You can, but it's easier to do the fuses.
GazzaGSi
Are the labelled EFI? Its just everything on the fuse box is in Jap and unsure which ones to do....
GazzaGSi
gaz is that on your supra? Yep
geoffvalenti
The labelling for the fuses is on the underside of the fuse box cover, otherwise, as Pig suggested, just disconnect a lead from the battery for a couple of minutes. The earth lead (-ve) is the lead you should disconnect (first)
