welshbuddy Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 ok need help with the gearbox wiring, as the Soarer 1jz gte, had a automatic gearbox, we cut the Loom when removing the engine as we didn't need it, so we now have the problem of wiring the gearbox up. these are the plugs from the N/A loom that went to the gearbox. need to know what they control if they go to the gearbox. And because it is on the N/A engine still , how far does the Loom go under the manifold?. And also, say if you didn't connect them. Would the car run? What does it control?. thanks daz. little num Posted January 23, 2012 Share Posted January 23, 2012 all you need off the gearbox is the speed sensor plug, and reverse if your bothered. The 1JZ loom should have the same plug on as the n/a loom and the speed sensor plug is the same so just fit it on the w58 job done. You can wire the reverse switch up easy.
