jevansio
When fitting a new oil cooler, do I need to fill the cooler with oil or do I start the engine up & just topup as usual for any oil I've lost in the old cooler?
paul mac
i would definately remove the pipes to the cooler and fill as much of the system as possible and also crank the engine without starting for a bit
Tricky-Ricky
Pull the ECU fuseses and turn the engine over for a while to prime it;)

Ark
Every time I've done it, I just put extra in the sump and cranked the engine. It'll fill quick enough with 7 bar of pressure behind it!
jevansio
I just filled it with oil (the way mine is mounted I can do this then mount it then attach the hoses at my leisure). Just pulled the EFI fuses & about to crank it, 10 secs or so sound OK?
Tricky-Ricky
I usually crank until the oil pressure gauge shows positive or oil light goes out.
