Epic
I got a UK Spec TT Twin, want a dump valve, does it matter what one i get, and what else do i need? been told i need a blanking plate or sumthing and is this a DIY job? thanks
jaymdee
I think the UK spec have a MAF sensor and so you may have problems fitting one which sounds like a bus (ie dump to atmos). Recirc ones are OK, IIRC
Epic
Has anyone else got one on a UK Auto?
Jake
Not keeping it standard after all then? Seems a shame that it survived as stock for so long only for you to start :chav:ing it up now. Still, it's your car. To answer your question; in theory a vent-to-atmos BOV can cause idling and stalling problems on a MAF based Supra because you are dumping metered air from the system - but in practice most folks find that it doesn't actually cause any problems. YMMV
