Dented Rear Panel

Someone reversed into my rear quarter panel on Sunday. It was the 3rd parties fault and hopefully it should be a quick turnaround getting the repairs paid for by his insurers.

I have just spoken to GVN and they will be doing the work for me. The guy from GVN mentioned a company called Qudos that could help me with claiming from the 3rd party without going through my insurance. Anyone know anything about this??

Ok so no-one has heard of Qudos.

Here's a pick of the damage. Do you think there will be any issues repairing this?

Probably a similar service to that offered by Helphire and the other one I always forget the name of.

I've used Helphire twice, they were OK.

I managed to get a dent in the exact same place via a mate reversing into my car.

I called his insurece myself once i got his details, Got a quote via a bodyshop passed it onto his insurece, A chap came out from his insurence and three days later i got a cash in loo settlement cheque. Never touched my insurence at all.

I have just spoken to a company that have said they will deal with the 3rd party and avoid the need to deal with my insurance. They have also said that they will provide a courtesy car that is a similar replacement for my car. It will be interesting to see what they give me!!!!

Helphire offered the same, the reality is very different

I had a Vectra CDX, Touran TDi and a Golf GTTDi, all nice cars and worth more than the Supra but not really "like for like", better than a bodyshop Micra though.

My dent was in the same place, not as bad as yours though.

GVN just did similar repairs for me (got it back yesterday) and did a damn good job, highly recommend them. I used Qudos and found they were fine, no hassles, seemed to take care of things efficiently (GVN use them for most their work). Just make sure they give you plenty of warning when it will go in to GVN, they gave me a day's notice but GVN didn't have the parts so it was a wasted journey.

Arrange the date to go in with GVN direct and then tell Qudos when it's going in and they'll sort out the hire car etc. for you.

Wow that looks almost exactly like mine when a twit at work drove into my rear panel.

Well he hasn't admitted fault yet but I'm hopeful. He did reverse into me after all.

That is very similar. It's helpful to know it can be repaired!! I just wish he'd hit my bumper as that needs a re-spray anyway;)
