Lukeyboy2k
I'm going to replace my nearside door skin (original badly dented). What is the best way to go about this? 1) Completely take door off? 2) Take off door card and attack from inside whilst still on the car? 3) Some other technique? I haven't taken a good look at how its currently attached, but just a quick pointer in the right direction and I would be most grateful - thanks. ulysees
take the door off mate and grind the edge all the way around grinding about 2mm off so you get the skin separate from the shell then it will pull off, clean it up turn it over and pull the lip off thats left on the shell from the old skin, clean that up, thin layer of sealer on front side of lip and apply new skin, panel hammer and dolly and fold new lip around tight be careful not to dent it, job done, new sealer bead and paint easy peasy. do it on a padded tressal , hope that helps, Andy. :good luck:
