JamesC
Just been driving down a perfectly good road, one of them nice ones which doesn't give off much tyre noise and i pass a sign saying the road will be closing for resurfacing. Why? Its fine, why not sort out the rest of the s**t roads which have potholes and are generally pap. I dont get it

juanchan
It seems that some councils simply do these sorts of roadworks to use up their road budget for the year. Maybe their budget would decrease if they don't spend it all. There's a road near me that was resurfaced for the sake of it about a year ago, and it now has pits between the patches of sh*t tarmac they used to relay it. I go out of my way to avoid it if I'm in the Supra.

JustGav
Why not sort out the ones that need doing? Probably different cost centres, all wooden dollar rubbish....
