AndyT
Top your brake fluid up mate. It needs to be pretty full to cover the sensor. Did it on mine a while back.
Havard
You may have a bit of air in the system. Mine did this when we changed the caliper a couple of months back. Bled it again and voila! No light! Or just take the bulb out!! H. Edit - Fook me you have to be quick around here!!!

QSC
So I go out to open the bonnet to top up the fluid level, and lo...the bonnet catch doesn't work now - anyone have any tips as to how to undo the bonnet ? I have a Do-luck front & FMIC, so no room from the front of the car...

Missile
This is only an idea. Could be rubbish. What if you took it to a local tyre exhaust centre and jack it up above you, And have a feel about. I'm unsure of the route the cable goes. But if you can find out you may be able to pull it and fit a new one.
QSC
Yeah, good thinking, the local place that does my MOTs are friendly enough (they don't notice my lack of CATs anyway) - a little job for them -

Homer
When you pull the level in the cabin does it feel like it's attached to anything? If not the cable might just have come off the level itself. Otherwise it's a nightmare to do, the juntion box that splits the cable into two has probably brorken, it's happened to quite a few on here. What front bumper do you have and is there an FMIC? The cable is attached to the handle, but doesn't feel like it's attached further down the line - got Do-Luck front & FMIC, so this ain't gonna be easy I fear...
