Ady
Have had a quick read on the hyper website - as im lookinf for a reputable company to re-map my ecu after i finish the bpu upgrade (March ish next year) Do you get a rolling road sheet - as part of the price of the ECU mapping service? Or do you have to pay for a power run on top? Dose anyone know or have this done before? Cheers

Ady
What ECU you going for? Cant I just get my stock one mapped to accomodate the new bpu upgrade? Do you have to bye an aftermarket ecu?
CJ
I think he means remapping his standard ECU. In which case (as we know) it cannot be done.
tooquicktostop
Can not map stock Too late as usual

You cannot remap the standard ecu and, TBH, there is no real need to spend big money on an aftermarket ECU just for a BPU car.

Ryan.G
Highly recommend a Emanage ultimate for BPU Speak to Ian C He does do piggybacks
CJ
Highly recommend a Emanage ultimate for BPU Speak to Ian C He does do piggybacks Do you not think that is overkill on a BPU car? I would agree that it may be a nicety (as would many other things) but a necessity?
Ryan.G
Well when i listened through the det cans on a TT which was running at BPU i was abit shocked at the crackle of det i heard at the VSV change point. Not sure if it still happens if the boost was lowered too say 1bar though insteed of 1.2 Im sure Ian will explain more as he fixes this alot more Ryan. Muffleman
I dont think its overkill for BPU because you can get rid of that det around the shift from turbo 1 to 2. You can make fueling improvements too. But, if you're going to go beyond BPU and head into single territory later, then I wouldnt bother with the emanage for now. All in my wee opinion

If that is the case, I am surprised that we haven't heard of lots of cars going pop especially given the number of cars running BPU and no after market ECU. If it was on a rx7 engine then probably would have but 2jzgte is a strong bugger.

Ady
Click the underlined link in spark plugs and all will be magically revealed. Says to use them upto 1 bar And BKR8EIX or BKR7EIX for upto 1.3 bar Do you think that i need a new set - as i will be pushing the turbos upto 1.2 bar? The BKR7EIX also are good for both 1.0 bar and 1.3 bar I might stay with the BKR6EIX for BPU - Please dont tell me I need to sell these and go for the BKR7EIX
