im thinking of going for a power mac however i need to know if i will get any compatibility issues if i upgrade the graphics card to a dx10 one, i love the mac os however i want enought power for dx10 games ie crysis, so was thinking of running boot camp for games and simply swapping the graphics card.

pete is it possible to run hackintosh on home built pc im currently running a amd 64 single core, im ready for a upgrade which may well be a mac however is it possible to run tiger or lepord on it? would mind having a play around.

Yes. I'm not going into it on here though.

Read the Insanely Mac forums and you will learn a lot. I don't think AMD works with Leopard at the moment though and it can be fussy with drivers - after all they had no reason to write a load of drivers to support PC hardware. :)

nice one cheers for the info, il have a butchers, might be easier to buy a mac and just upgrade the gfx card, shame apple dont produce a gaming mac especially when they say there trying to take on the gaming side, they have already got EA and ID producing games for them, would be a shame to have there hardware let them down.

Well the new PowerBooks have Geforce 8800 cards in them so they are using the hardware, just encoding the BIOS and drivers to match up.
