markjodrell
How do you get high res photos to be displayed on a post. I have added some for my car ad but can only put on very low res due to the size of the file. I have noticed you can put photos on a post without the attachment, in over words they look like they have been copied and pasted. I have tried this but it wout work . Any ideas. I just noticed a guy seeling his white supe has list massive high def photos in his post, not attchments
AndrewOW
I think its done using Photobucket, then use the link to the URL (where they are stored on Photobucket) and viola, you have nice big images in your posts. Unfortunately, I can't use Photobucket as I have an ancient Mac (OS9), so hope it works for you anyway
markjodrell
Thanks Andrew, never used photo bucket, may just stick with the crappy low res photos or email then to anyone interested.
Thorin
Yup you need to host your images on a website somewhere (doesn't have to be photobucket) then use the img tags to link to it in your post.

I don't work for Photobucket by the way, I just know they are a handy online photo hosting service

I think its already been said. Just find an online photo hosting service (like Photobucket etc), join, upload your images. Then use the service to constrain the images to best quality for internet display etc., and once that's done, use the link's that are provided to where your photos are stored and add them into your post. I think you have to use type html commands to make it work. I'm sure its something like that, even though I can't do it on my old system here
Supragal
Bear in mind that people on slow connections will suffer from people linking massive pics in threads... and also that you are looking at it on a screen so theres no need for it to have a massively hig res anyway!! I use photobucket or imageshack.us, depending on which one is working best on a particular night. Once you've uploaded the image it will supply you a link that you can just copy and paste into a thread here.

Supragal
yes, or some sites give you a link with the IMG tags already around it
