Exhaust vibration and warning lights!!

Hi there, as some of you may have read i posted a few days ago about looking to buy my 1st Supra!

Well I've found one and the guy has told me a few problems with it that I'd like some advice on before I travel 4hrs to look at it!!

1st is he says its got "a slight exhaust rattle" (Its a standard exhaust on a 1995 NA manual!

2nd he says there is a warning light on the dash that comes on "occasionally" but he's had it checked and its down to "having an Apexi filter"

Do these bits sound legit or does it sound like he's trying to hide something???

:search:

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'd agree with Ian on the first point, though there are *many* things that can cause it. Where is the sounding coming from? The front, the cabin or the rear hatch?

2nd point is most likely brake fluid level. The system is very sensitive and even a tiny drop off the Max mark will cause an occasional warning (usually under hard acceleration or braking)

Check for: error codes

He dint say where the rattle was coming from but I've just emailed him to see where it is coming from! If I do still decide to go all the way to look at it i'll take the trusty paper clip and see what the fault code is!!

I really like this car but I'm having second thought, its up for £3600 with 57k miles but with these being the only disclosed probs...seem fair??
