Boost question

Stock is 0.7 ish

If doing BPU you will run up to 1.2 bar, however it all depends on what condition your turbo's are in on how safely it will run at that.

As previously mentioned you will also require

FCD (not HKS)

New SMIC or FMIC (FMIC is pointless for BPU)

Restrictor Ring (best to go for 1 bar and use a boost controller to raise to 1.2bar)

HKS is not the best when it comes to FCD's, the Greddy unit is better and if you can find a Thor unit then they are the best.

FCD incase you do not know allows you to raise the boost past 1bar as the stock ecu cuts fuel to the engine if boost goes over 1 bar.

and as for buying a 1 bar resrictor ring, I have a brand new one for sale http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=122310

Ok to get more power out of a stock car apart from going single/big twins is BPU.

You will require to do the follow

Double decat (remove both cats)

Cat back exhaust

FCD

IK24 spark plugs

boost guage

Walbro fuel pump

Restrictor ring 1.0 bar or 1.2 bar

SMIC or FMIC

Boost controller to raise the boost to desired 1.2bar

Dunno if I have forgotten anything, keep the stock airbox.

im limited at 121 mph so will a FCD delimit me?

btw cheers for the info and i will have the restrictor

You will require a delimiter/covertor, again the Thor unit is no longer made. I do not know what other SLD is available, contact jezz he owns a breakers I am sure he will be able to sort you out. Maybe an idea to buy some new dials too.

If you want that resrictor ring just PM me.

Well, I just bought a greddy bcc, a bit more expensive then the 2nd hand £50 hks fcd, mine tt is just stock, and I just want a bit of fun around 17psi without the fuel cut, just a bit annoy when its cut in.

will my stock tt cope with around 17psi, I mean fueling and turbo etc....

cheers

Hi there, I got it fitted, it work, that no more fuel cut when hit 17psi,

I just measure the voltage before I fitted it, when on it just feed 4.1v constanly, really you can do just with some sort of voltage regulator to give out 4.1v will do.

thats all it does.......

cheers
