I'm not sure I understand. Have you just got a single muffler/backbox that you want to fit on the standard exhaust?
n00b
sorry for being confusing. i have a single muffler on order (the back box thing only). and i would like to know if its possible to buy the rest of the exhaust up to the cat (or replace the cat is it ok just to have 1 cat im not sure of the implications of this, ie mot)? but the other question is would a 14" x 7" back box fit into the space where the old back box was? hope this clear things up a bit, sorry again Thanks for your time Charlie
merckx
I'm not sure why you've just bought a backbox instead of a full exhaust, that's what most of us do. You should be okay for the mot with just the one cat fitted.
matt k
Someone is selling a RSR Exhaust on here for £250, personally i would just buy that as you know it will fit.
n00b
the exhaust has a electric remote control butterfly which depending on if its open or closed sends the fumes either straight out (very noisy) or down a side chamber 3 times and then out (very quiet) ive had to source it from australia as they dont sell them over here (well i cant seem to find them) i think its a good solution to the having a loud na and living in a residential area. thanks for the advice on the MOT Charlie

JODY T
The backbox sounds interesting, However you could have got a normal exhaust and bought one of those Apexi exhaust butterflys...(They do have a Name, I just cant think of it off the top of my head) I think youll have to get a fabricator to build the system for you... shouldnt be a problem atall.. n00b
sorry for another dumb question. which one would be better a 2.5 inch inlet size or a 3 inch inlet size? Thanks Charlie
Wez
which one would be better a 2.5 inch inlet size or a 3 inch inlet size? Shouldnt make too much difference on an NA, I am guessing the butterfly would be a bigger restriction when in quiet mode. I have a Nur Spec with a bung in it for my NA and thats not too loud, different story when you take it out and I still have both cats in place.
