paul_y3k
as i've owned the supra and it's gone bang, i've learnt bit and pieces on how it all hangs together and how turbo's etc actually work. i would love to be able to carry on learning, and a few years ago my local college did an evening course in mechanics. just general stuff but would of suited me no end. nowadays all they offer is how to use a mouse. I'm no looking to get a nvqq or anything, but would love to increase my knowledge. any ideas ? anyone want to adopt me, i make great tea !
Jive
I've learnt a fair bit after working on my car just recently, very good and satisfying when you can tell your Dad what's what under the engine as usually he knows most things How far away from a tuning shop that's on here, ie TurboFit etc and try contacting them to see if they need any help with the tea making Good luck with your search. colsoop
If you have the space how about getting a small and simple car, something mechanically simple to work on and do up. a great way to learn.
JustGav
Build a kit car.... not as cheap as the £250 quoted, but you could spend your time doing it...

Jive
thats what i thought, but i just dont have any space and as far as tools i have a duff old socket set ! lol Space is essential for building a kit car I'd have thought, unless you've got a big front room you can convert into a garage I've got the same problem, want to learn more about engines etc and have a small scooter project I'd like to work on but the shed is ... well a shed and totally full of garden stuff and I've got no garage so a bit snookered there Tools wise, I've just bought a big set from Halford - 150 piece set for £100, you'd probably need to pick up a few other items but that shouldn't cost you too much. Not sure where this post is going now .. so I'll stop
