You can't cheat and use B&W!! But in fairness, well done. Surely you are right where you are now? Why do you want to lose more?

Im dieting for a Natural Body Building show, and its been hard.

Yea u can cheat its all about the lighting effect, brings out more definition. :p

As requested here is a low down of my routine.

Right iv been trying to gass mass for a while now and got upto 16stone at one point. Then i though fek it, i wana try a competition so iv been dieting for 16wks so far, 4 to go.

Off- Season.

Monday - Chest/Calves

Tuesday - Legs

Wednesday - Back

Thursday - Off

Friday - Shoulders

Saturday - Arms/abs

All the above was done with heavy weights 3-4 sets, with no more than 8-9 reps, but with good form, so that i was working the muscle, and not cheating it

Supplements - Vit A/B/C, Glutamine, Fish oil, Creatine, Pross Mass shake, Milk Thislte, Amino Acids.

I was eating 6-7 small meals a day every 2/3hrs, 2 of them were Mass gain shakes though, Carbs were high, ranging from Rice, Pasta, bread, tatties(Potatoes) and also my protein intake was high, was looking at about 300-400g or more, i was really eating anything, to add good mass.

O and i did have some beer now and again, ;)

Training

My training has stayed the same apart from cutting the weights down a little and working to failure, so that you burn fat around the muscle and give it definition.

Although my Diet food intake has changed ALOT! CRAZY!!

NO BOOZE, iv had none since 1st January 2007

When i first started dieting, i kept my Protein High, but started to cut down on my carbs slowly. This is the hard bit, you need to try and time it so your eating just enough to get you by.

All my supplememts are the same, except for the creatine, as this holds water and you dont want this. So thats been stopped from day one.

At the moment due to me competing soon, i have totally cut out all carbs, and im only eating chicken breats every 2hrs, along with about 6 litres of water a day and my protien shakes. This is the hard bit, due to you feeling tired all the time, crabbit etc, as your running of like 0 fuel(Carbs) This uses up the fat stores in your body, GOOD THING!

EDIT, Forgot to stick in that i do a 5mile run at 7am, Then do another 30-40mins on tread mill later on at night, that gets the fat shifted.

I'll get smoe more pics up once im done with it all, Keep watching.

I'll try and write up a more detailed Diet when iv got some more time.

Hope this helps some of you's??

How are you getting the abs like that? Thats quite a bit of fat shifted from that area which is the singularly hardest part to move fat from. Most excercise regimes to move that fat will trim everything else away as well. Hmmm methinks no more beer until my wedding is going to have to happen.

Yea its the hardest bit dude, trust me there is still a little bit there that i need to shift, bugging me silly.

Anyway, its simple. 7am i do a 5mile run, takes me about 40mins. Then go to work, eat healthy. Come home back into gym, do my routine, then do another 30mins on tread mill.

The hardest bit, is cutting out beer, pizza, all bad foods.

Geo, Have you tried slowing down your run to a jog? I was in the same boat - not as bulky as you, but trying to loose the inches around the gut. I was running/cycling every other day, but it never seemed to shift.

I then started to jog at circa 155 bpm, and also cycle around this rate. Within a month I my fat content had dropped to literally nothing.

I read somewhere anything over the 155 rate burns more carbs, whereas this rate will really hit the fat supplies.

(Obviously the bpm varies with age)

Good for you some nice results, the cutting down on Carbs bit is very hard to do but you seem to have got through that hard phase & achieved success.

Are you going to start tanning yourself to really show off the definition or have you got someone to paint it on for you :D (are you allowed to be tanned for natural body building ?

Fat burning zones (for heart rate) depending on your age are quite low, for a 30 year old it is around 130 bpm.

Yea dude thats wot im doing im not racing for 5miles, might be in the soop tho, but im just jogging to get my heart rate up, as high as poss without, having a heat attack, haha. It comes down slowly, so it 4 wks should be looking not to bad at all.

Dont get me wrong its been really hard getting like this.

Yea the hardest part was watching carb in take, and not straying away for things like pizza, etc. Yea nearer the time i'll get someone to paint me with the Dream Tan 25 stuff, you can use it for any comp, its not a steriod, by comp time i should be looking pretty good.

Fingers crossed!

Thats 5 miles every morning? For 16 weeks? I think I may be staying fat :)

He he, its only been 5miles for the past 6wks dude, i was bringing my fat down slowly, so started with 30mins a night, then upped it, to mornings and evening.

i'll need to post a pic with my top off to put you to shame!:D

:run:

I shifted a stone and a half between Jan and Mid Feb through combination of eating properly and working on average 14hr days during our busy season at work.

Have been hit by a few colds recently as so run down which has stopped me being able to train but once i shift this cold i have i'm back on the weights and running.

Got myself lined up for a few tournaments in October now that the knee is all clear so need to get in shape. Got about 3 years worth of injurys and junk eating to shift in 6 months. going to be a hard slog but worth it.

oh nicely done there Geo - all weight reduction for racing in the supe will help!!

Cheers
