Matti85
Hi mates Ill come to Uk next week to bring home a Supra. But ive been told that i will end up in Jail if i drive without insurance /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_sad.gif And since the traffic in Uk is a litle diffrent from Scandinavia (and i have to drive for like 2 hours), i will most certinly draw some attention while lerning the new system. I know also that you can not insure the car but just the person driving it, im not a brittisch citizen so i can not get insured. So what is your recomendations about this ? Kite
Where are you from? Finland?
Matti85
Sweden, good site, but it required UK zip code, so think only UK citizens can use their services.
geoffvalenti
Where have you got to take the car to and from in the UK?
Matti85
From Bradford to New Castle, 2 hours drive on the A1 i think its called.
mattanna
You should insure the vehicle in your own country and be covered surely? or pay someone here from the site to drive it up there for you(obviously you would be with them) they would be covered 3rd party only but would get it to the docks for you, you would then need to have insurance in sweden when you get it there
geoffvalenti
From Bradford to New Castle, 2 hours drive on the A1 i think its called. Ok. Shame, as if you'd been down south, I'd have offered to do the job for you, if you covered my costs. Up North It's a different world up there Maybe one of the northern members would like to offer to help out?
Matti85
Thanks for offering to help mates, ive been told that it is possible to order some sort of Export plates from the DVLA, will look into that further. Oh and is there an easy way to check if the owner of the car relly is the owner. I have been typing the reg plate number at the "rac" site above but it did not come up anything. Have mailed them if they can check that for me though.
