scooby_doo_do
How easy is it to change this? The car's not starting so no chance of getting it on ramps, Its got 3/4 of a tank of fuel and the car's lowered and on a gravel base. I was hoping of using a trolley jack on it. The other thing: is it possible to crimp the fuel line so fuel doesn't leak everywhere ? Thanks. Craig. The supra's dead. Won't start :-(
Jspec Germany
Don't crimp the line. There's a thread on how to do this. Use the search button. I'm going to try to do it this week, so I'll try to take pics and do a write up. I have access to a lift so it will be a lot easier for me. I don't recommend doing it on a gravel driveway though. You need to be on a flat concrete surface and the car needs to be properly jacked and supported. Again, use the search button.
scooby_doo_do
Yep, i found this one "http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=60850&highlight=replace+fuel+filter" but can' really make out how far under the car it is... If its just passed the skirting then it should be ok :-) I will move the stones out of the way before i attempt to jack it up :-) Hopefully its just the filter thats blocked and thats why my car won't start.. Failing that i'll have to pay for it to get towed somewhere - problem being with that is the car's parked at the rear with a ramp and little access.... nice.. Jspec Germany
Passenger side inside the frame rail middle of the car (like below the passenger seat if you were looking at the car from a god's eye view). Seriously, please don't attempt this on gravel/rocks, or anything other than a flat stable surface. I don't want to read another thread about a club member dying an early death because he was crushed by his Supra.
