downimpact
Just bought Supra, Great. On the test drive all these features worked fine. Since then guy has put CAT 1 in, de limited, changed KM to mph and put rear fog light on. The garage has also managed to 1. Take the traction control display off the dash. So i can't tell if it is on or off it lights when i turn on the ignition but then nothing. Looked under bonnet am i missing something? and what is it? 2. Only my back left speaker now works??? changed all fade settings on stereo, still nothing but that one speaker, definatley worked on test drive. Not use black wires exclusivley for my CAT 1, bloody cowboys, i'm sure this is a CAT 1 requirement. They've run a blue wire not even tacked down to the bonnet sensor. Any help would be awesome, common faults? ideas? Seems like wire snipping to me but not sure where best to check for the feeds.
Swampy442
Back left speaker is probably a wire, has it got an after market stereo fitted? Im thinking its probably badly wired up. You should have all 4 relays fitted in the box, sure you could get one cheap enough. Look under the box lid to see what one it is. If I were you Id be back down to the garage... downimpact
yeah crap garage unfortunatley i'm in Cardiff, garage is in Manchester. The speakers did all work on the test drive. i'm wondering if they've cut something? It is an aftermarket unless they came with pioneer as standard? Guest mrjud
ilooked under my bonnet and i don't have that relay if you lookwhere the relay goes you will see theres no connecter pins in it. i think its a blank one. mines a 93 auto
downimpact
ah your right, didn't think to check that no metal connecters. Yet on the reverse of the lid on the sticker it states 2 are for ABS and 2 are for traction control? Any other ideas for lack of active monitoring? How else can you tell whether the traction control is on or off, besides flooring it?
Swampy442
Why would they cut a wire? Check the bottom of the speaker make sure its not detatched, Otherwise unless its a duff speaker, theres a scotchbloc behind the console thats badly done. Sorry but no idea about the TRC
downimpact
None of the speakers work except the back left one? Can't think of anything except taking off the dash (which seems a time consuming exercise) and checking they haven't unplugged anything from back of head unit, while they had dash off doing speedo conversion. Swampy442
Oops sorry!!!! RTFP Its gotta be the stereo wiring, you might have to take the console apart to check it
